March 18 – VIP Day

We are looking forward to VIP Day on Friday, March 18. You are invited to visit your child’s class and have lunch.  If your schedule doesn’t allow you to do both, please feel free to just come for lunch.  Please send in your RSVP for VIP day as soon as possible.  Looking forward to a great day!

NO School – March 24, 25 and 28 for Spring Break

April 5 – 3^rd Grade Concert  at the Middle School 7:00 PM

We have a very fun week ahead of us!  We have the following dress up days that the students can participate in if they would like for homecoming week.

Monday--Mustache Day (Students may purchase an adhesive mustache at the office for $0.25.)
Tuesday--Class Color Dress-up Day 
Wednesday--Hero Day (dress as military, fire, police)
Thursday--PJ Day ( no pillow, blankets or stuffed animals)
Friday--Spirit Day (Demon apparel)--1:10 dismissal 

Picture re-take day is Friday Oct. 9th.  Please email if you have questions about this.

We had beautiful weather for our bike-a-thon on Friday!  Everyone had a great time.

Please remember we have a 1:10 dismissal on Wednesday, September 30.

We have had a great start to 3^rd grade!  We have 24 students in our class and we all have worked hard these first two weeks to learn our procedures and establish routines.  Thank you for supporting your children at home as they adjust to life as a third grader!

Spelling

Our first spelling test will be on Friday Sept. 11.  Students will bring their spelling lists home on Fridays in their take home folders. They will be expected to study the words at home to be prepared for the weekly test.  The lists can also be found on the Spelling page on this blog.
